JHB Wade Bales Cap Classiqueelebration with GenevievMCC popping thbotts

Hope your year has made memories worth celebrating and youre ready to get 2017 on the go!! After the holidays!

A quick note if you need to stock up last minute!

Then some end of year news of what weve been up to in 2016:

Weve had a busy one, exports growing now to Belgium and Germany with reorders to the Netherlands and Germany, Genevieve MCC is slowing being able to touch others peoples celebrations and the love for Méthode Cap Classique around the world.

A couple of highlights this year have been the purchasing of a property in Bot River, after quite some time searching for the right spot to create a home for Genevieve MCC weve found one, itll be a slow progress of renovations and planting vineyards but wed love you to be part of it and will keep you updated when weve moved there and can all get together and celebrate!

The2012 Genevieve MCCwas released earlier this year and whenever I sit and taste and make tasting notes, my vintages become a character, the 2012 is my soldier, it stands up right, expresses itself very cleanly, has great structure and is showing the integrity that it was made with. With 4 years on the lees, its still vibrant and is going to mature beautifully for those that manage to hide some away for a few years.

Then the other highlight was being able to release aZero Dosage vintagethis year. 2012 was an exceptional harvest for me and with the first press juice coming in, decided to set some aside and see how it would evolve with even less intervention, adding no sugar after second fermentation and left on the lees for 4 years and then some decent cork time. Its a little rock star!

Zero dosage Champagnes/Méthode Cap Classiques are referred to by some winemakers as “a champagne without make up.” It is where we get to truly taste the wine.

Comparing the two gives you an idea of the influence of dosage on MCC. The absence of dosage allows the fundamental qualities of the wine and its terroir to shine through more clearly.

All the best for your festive season and cheers to you and may we ching our glasses together often in 2017!

Valentine Printables

Birthday Parties, Valentines Day. All you need to do is print them, cut them, and you are ready to go my dear. Lets take a closer look. Here they are!

It doesnt matter how old I get, bubbles make me happy! They have the power to wake up the little girl inside of me. They remind me of Summer Days, best friends, blue skies, and playing under the sun.

When I found these little bubble bottles at my local Dollar Tree I knew I had to do something with them. Of course being me the first thing that came into my mind was a printable and just like that I came up with this idea!

Dont you think they are perfect forclass parties, birthdays, and Valentines Day?

Each box comes with eight small bubble bottles, thats eight for a dollar, what make these party favors super affordable.

After you print the little tags and cut them, glue them to the front of the bottles.

I used a regular glue stick to glue them. You can use a 1 circle punch holder to cut them if you want.

To embellish them a bit more I dipped the tip of the pencil in acrylic paint and made small polka dots with it. Just tap the paint lightly on the bottle to make them. I also painted a sweet cute heart on the top of each lid.

My little girl is giving these bubble bottles to her friends for Valentines Day, that is if I dont open them first and blow them away.

Finding Inspiration in Motherhood and Other Messy Things

Valentines Day Printable Tags forBubbles

Posted infree worksheets & printablesholidays

These are the Valentines Day treats that my kids will be giving to their class this month.

I chose bubbles because I really wanted to avoid adding even more sugar to the students pile of what was sure to be a large load of candy.

And bubble are always a hit with kids.

So I looked around and found these adorable mini bubbles at Target in the holiday section of the store.  I then found the Valentines colored bakers twine in the bargain section near the front of Target.

Of course, you can also sometimes find colorful bakers twine in the baking section of stores, and Ive sometimes found fun colors of bakers twine in the craft section of my local Dollar Tree.

And if youre having trouble finding mini bubbles, Ive found that Party City usually has a large supply of colorful bubbles as party favors.

I made these heart-shaped tags in red and pink, after playing around with other color combinations like red and blue or red and purple.  I found I liked the way these looked best.

And they probably would have looked even better for my photos if my printer hadnt started running out of ink..

I made two versions.  The first has both a to and from on it, and the second seen in the photos only has from.

I did this because my girls are in preschool and it just seemed easier on everyone if we only wrote their names on the Valentines instead of the names of all of their classmates, too.  But older kids might want to write who theyre for, so I made that an option.

To assemble the Valentines, I first wrote my girls names on the heart and cut them out.  Then I punched a hole in the heart with a hole punch on the left side of the top of the heart.

Next, I cut a piece of bakers twine about 10 inches long and tied it around the neck of the bubble bottle.  I double knotted it so it wouldnt go anywhere.  Then I strung the heart onto one piece of the tied bakers twine and tied another double knot to secure the heart to the bubbles.

You could stop there, I guess, but I went ahead and tied a bow to make them look a little nicer.  I double knotted the bow as well, so it wouldnt come undone.

I then packed all the bubbles into a heart-shaped basket we already had to make it easy for my girls to bring them to school

End of Year Gift Bubble Tags

Can you believe it? Its already coming up on the end of the year! Each year I try to do some sort of sweet present for my graduating students. This year, I snagged these GORGEOUSbubble sticks from Walmart! I saw a ton of teachers oninstagramgot them as well, so I made agift tagfor this quick end of year gift for my littles.

If you dont have a Walmart near you, I found somebubble sticks on Amazon.

I created the tags in rainbow colors and black & white.

You can also print them black & white and onbright Astrobright paper! This is always a fun and bright way to use black & white printables.

You can either tie the tag on with string (I would use cardstock for this) or tape/glue it around it (use normal printer paper for this and I useddouble-sided tape).

10 Free End of the Year Student Gift Tags

It is closing in on the end of the school year that means it is time to start thinking about gifts for your students. It is hard to get them something meaningful that doesnt break the bank for the teacher. Ive got 10 ideas for you of easy, inexpensive gifts. Ive also included the gift tags as a freebie for you!

My first tip to save money is to buy a package of something that you can divide up. The sticky notes I found at Target for $3.99 and you could break them apart into 5 stacks of sticky notes. That would make each stack about $0.80. The dry erase markers I found at Dollar Tree in a 3 pack, making each marker about $0.33/

These Sugar Rush Scented Gel Pens were $12.99, but with a 24 pack you would only need one pack for an entire class (for some of you lucky teachers). If you you needed more, you could buy a smaller pack or have extra stored away for next year. That makes it about $0.54 a pen. These mini composition notebooks are the cutest. They could fit in your pocket and come in a three pack. I found them at Dollar Tree which makes it about $0.33 per mini notebook.

Now, lets get to some of the ideas! This is an idea that might take a little bit of time and planning throughout the year depending on how many pictures you take. You could grab a mini photo album ($0.97 each at Walmart) for each student. If you want, you could decorate them more or add each students name. Then fill with pictures of the school year – field trips, playing outside, working hard in the classroom, posed pictures, a picture of you with each student, etc. You could also write a message and slip it into one of the page protectors. If your class uses social media like a class Instagram, you could use pictures from there for the albums. Your biggest expense will be printing out the pictures. If you keep an eye out throughout the year, Shutterfly often runs deals where you get 100 free 3×4 prints. Stock up during those times during the year to build up a collection of pictures for each students album.

PuzzlesThese puzzles caught my attention at The Dollar Tree. The states and capitals version would be great for 3rd or 4th graders that work on learning about the US throughout the year. They also had color versions (with the color words in multiple languages), numbers and letters as well.

Glow Bracelets or SunglassesThis is a gift tag that you could use for two different gifts. I found this pack of glow bracelets in the dollar spot at Target for $1. You could give each student a package or open the package and do individual bracelets.

You could also use the same tag with pairs of sunglasses. I found this pair at The Dollar Tree and they come in a variety of colors.

What kid doesnt love sticky notes? They are probably used to seeing them in your classroom and maybe even using them for different assignments. Now, they have their own stack of notes and a fun pen to write with.

Sand Pail and ShovelI found this sand pail with attached shovel for $1 in the dollar spot at Target. You could give it as is or fill it with other things – books, stickers, candy, pictures, work from the year, a card, small toys or games, etc.

How fun would it be to send home a dry erase board with each student? They could practice handwriting, math problems and more at home. I found this board at The Dollar Tree. It has lines and the alphabet on one side and then a blank white side on the back. The marker also came from the Dollar Tree and were a generic brand. Ive also seen Expo markers there at times. I have heard others say that you can go to a store like Home Depot and buy a large sheet of dry erase board and have them cut it down to small boards for each student. I havent tried this so I dont know if this is actually an option or what the cost is, but it is worth a shot.

There are so many possibilities with playdough. They can just play with it or use it for spelling words or counting practice. It is great fine motor practice and students love a fresh can of it. I found these cans sold individually at Target for $0.99. You could also make homemade dough and give it to students in small plastic containers or ziploc bags.

Bubble WandBubbles are another fun summer activity! I found this giant bubble wand at Target for $0.99. You could use the same tag with a different type of bubbles or even use it with packs of bubble gum or a BlowPop sucker.

Fun colored chalk is always a hit in the summer with young students. This pack was in the Target dollar spot for $1 but you could break it up into smaller packs if you want but that is an awesome price for 12 pieces of chalk.

This is another gift that the teacher in me loved giving my students. I always wanted to encourage them to keep writing about their summer adventures throughout the summer. An easy way to do this is to give them a cute pen and a journal. There are so many different options. The mini composition books come in a three pack from The Dollar Tree. The other journals are bigger with more paper and are $1 each at The Dollar Tree. Kind of cute to find different motivational sayings for your students.

So what do you think? Did you find some ideas that you could use with your own students? Each of the gift tags is in color and can be printed on paper or cardstock for more durability. There is a spot to sign your name and you could use the back to write a longer message. The tags come in two different sizes – a half page option and a quarter page option.

The download button below, fill out your contact info and the tags will be emailed directly to you.=. If you use these and share on social media, tag me (@sarajcreations) so I can see how
